I am interested in the coordinated evolution of mating and cooperative behavior in animals. For my dissertation, I am studying the fitness consequences of delayed dispersal and cooperative breeding in bess beetles (Coleoptera: Passalidae; Odontotaenius disjunctus). I am also investigating the role of monogamy in the evolution of cooperative breeding in birds using comparative methods.
