Current Projects:

After having passed my Qualifying Exam in September, 2020, I have begun researching the role that political party shifting and party defection played in the creation of nineteenth century political systems. I am currently engaging with contemporary newspapers from the 1840s to place these party defections in the context of the partisan press.
