Research Interests:
Shakespeare

Katie Kirk is in her second year of MA classes thanks to the University Scholars Program. In spring 2018, she completed a Chellgren Center research project analyzing Restoration-era adaptations of Shakespeare and how the playwrights' changes reflect common practices of late 1600s theatre. She was also one of five student editors of "Letters from Devastation: Mary Breckinridge in the Aisne, 1919." When not attending class, Katie serves as a research assistant in the FAD psychology research lab, is the president of UKShakes, and acts as an Education Intern with the Office of LGBTQ* Resources.

Katie's academic interests include Shakespeare, queer theory, and narrative theory.
