Mark Hines is a PhD candidate in English at the University of Kentucky. He is interested in representations of race and gender in virtual and fantastic worlds. He believes that gaming, both in digital and analog forms, allow students to explore identity and expression, and he works with games as both cultural artifacts and pedagogical tools.
