Education:
Oglethorpe University, 2008 B.A., History
Biography:

My research focuses on European-Native American contact in the Southeast.  I am particulary interested in how indegenous groups on the Georgia Coast navigated the presence of Spanish missionaries in the sixteenth and seventeeth centuries.  This includes groups in direct contact with the Spanish in Coastal Georgia and groups that are not in direct contact living in the interior of Georgia.  Working on excavations on Sapelo Island, Georgia with Richard Jefferies and excavations on the Lower Ocmulgee River inform my understanding of this time period.
