Edward Schade

Biography:

Edward Schade is a graduate student and teaching assistant at the University of Kentucky pursuing his MA in Classics and certificate in Latin Studies from the Institutum Studiis Latinis Provehendis.  Edward received his BA in Philosophy from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign and is an alumnus of the Paideia Institute’s Living Latin in Rome ’13 and Living Latin in NYC ’17.  His academic interests include Cicero’s orations, early Christianity, semantics, Aristotelean metaphysics, and Kant.  In the Summer of 2017, he taught Latin at Choate Rosemary Hall in Connecticut.  Ed lives in Lexington with his wife and enjoys nature and reading Tolkien in his free time.

In 2013, Daniel Ross(UIUC) and I gave a talk about our research on semantics titled "Object-Oriented Semantics: A Visual Approach to Meaning".
