Special guest for today's Russian Conversation Hour: Eradzh Nidoev, a producer for the first fully independent, liberal Russian TV channel, Dozhd (TVRain), who has been part of a team covering political demonstrations against President Vladimir Putin and the Russian legislative election process.
As part of the MCL Faculty Research Presentation Series, Prof. Cynthia Ruder will discuss her work on the Moscow Canal--its history and significance as a landmark of Stalinist construction. In English.
Mr. Nidoev is a visiting broadcast journalist from Russia. He is a producer for the first fully independent Russian television channel, Dozhd (TVRain) and has been covering political demonstrations against Vladimir Putin and the Russian legislative election process.
Join the UK Russian Club as they celebrate Maslenitsa (Russian Mardi Gras). We'll be making homemade bliny (Russian crepes/pancakes) and filling them with lots of great stuff.
